stacked bob with layers of thick silicone tape. This would be great though if you want it to be very durable and feel good. The other option is just slightly more difficult than the silicone tape but if you are going to do a lot of stuff to the bob's back, this could be too much work.

It just didn't stay in place and its a shame because the fabric was not super clean. The foam is pretty smooth so this bob should last a good few weeks. The end result was a very light weight to work with. But if I had just bought a thicker bob then its easy to do without getting a problem. A short tutorial on foam printing here and here can help.
